Taperly launches on Product Hunt on October 3Take a look

About Taperly

A triathlon race-preparation app, and the free tools on this site that come from it.

Taperly helps first-time triathletes show up to race day fully prepared, with race-week plans, packing checklists and guidance. It is made by Dot Systems in Sweden and published on build2race.com.

What it does

Race week is two problems at once: the things that still have to be done, and the doubt about whether enough has been done already. Taperly answers both by working backwards from one date, your race.

  • A day-by-day plan for the week before the race
  • Packing lists organised the way the race organises them, by transition bag
  • Checklists for race week, the night before and race morning
  • Your race details in one place: times, courses, documents, forecast
  • Works offline, because start areas have no signal

What it does not do

Taperly is not a training app. It does not write your training plan, count your intervals or replace TrainingPeaks, TriDot or Garmin Connect. Those handle the months of work. Taperly handles everything between the last hard session and the start line.

Not the other Taperly

There is an unrelated app also called Taperly, at taperly.app, which helps people taper off habits. It is a different product from a different developer and the two have nothing to do with each other. This Taperly is the triathlon one, made by Dot Systems, and it lives on this domain.

Where it is

The app is out on the App Store and free to download. Everything on this site stays free, runs in the browser and needs no account.

Who made it

Dot Systems, a small software studio in Sweden. Taperly is built in the open, and the build is posted as it happens on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and X. Questions go to hello@build2race.com.
