This policy explains how Taperly ("we") handles personal data on this website. We keep it short because we collect very little.
What we collect
- Your email address, if you choose to join the waitlist. That is the only personal detail we ask for.
- Basic, privacy-friendly analytics about page visits (e.g. page views and rough region) so we understand how many people reach the site. This does not identify you personally.
Why we use it
We use your email for one thing: to tell you when Taperly launches. That is one email. We do not sell, rent or share it, and we do not use it for advertising. You can ask us to remove you at any time.
The legal basis for storing your email is your consent, given when you submit the form.
Who processes it
The site is hosted on Vercel Inc. (United States), which also provides two of the three measurement tools we use: Vercel Analytics for page views and Speed Insights for load performance. Neither sets a cookie and neither identifies you personally.
We also load a small self-hosted visitor counter from tracker-mauve-sigma.vercel.app. It counts visits. Because it is fetched from another domain, your IP address reaches that server as part of the request, the same way it does for any image or script.
Waitlist emails are passed to the tool we use to manage the launch list. All of these providers process data on our behalf and are not allowed to use it for their own purposes. Because none of them store or read anything on your device, we do not show a cookie banner; there is nothing to consent to.
How long we keep it
We keep your email until Taperly has launched and you have had the chance to download it, or until you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us to access, correct or delete your data, to withdraw the consent you gave, or to have it sent to you. Email us and we will take care of it, normally within a few days.
About the app
The Taperly mobile app is designed to keep your races, gear and checklists on your own device. This website policy covers the website only; the app will ship with its own in-app privacy details at launch.
