- Swim
- Langener Waldsee, a lake outside the city.
- Bike
- Two laps, 180 km through the Taunus foothills. Rolling rather than brutal, with real climbs. Elevation for this edition is not yet published.
- Run
- Four flat laps along the Main riverbanks, finishing at the Roemer.

What that changes in your bags
The swim is out at the lake and the finish is in the city, so this is a race where the bags travel without you. Ten years of history put the air between 20 and 33 degrees with the water at 23: warm enough that the wetsuit call is genuinely open, and that is a decision to make before the bag is sealed, not at the water's edge.
